I was employed by Slacker Radio as their Product Designer. I enjoyed working with the people at Slacker. The work itself was great but lacked organization for years which crippled a lot of the production process. There were lots of middle-men that consistently injected trivial opinions about a certain concept or new process. Lots of friction between the design team, development, and executives. This 10+ year old company desperately forced themselves to work under 0 marketing budget and a start-up mentality which was a terrible mistake. Slacker has very little desire to go outside the box and take risks. Slacker is not driven as far as taking in new technologies and latest trends. Overall, I would not recommend to work at Slacker Radio until acquisition is in place. Under the Travis clang build setup, all unit tests compiled with OpenMP were
failing due to the following issue:
